Privacy Policy

Tabkhty suggests a recipe from the ingredients you already have. We respect your privacy and built the app to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and with whom.

What we collect

• Your ingredients & preferences: your pantry items, staples, meal type, time and number of people, your preferences (cuisine, goal, foods you avoid, cooking level), and your gender (male/female, so the recipe reads with correct Arabic grammar). We send this to our servers when you ask for a recipe, to generate the recipe and its photo, and keep the latest copy along with the recipes you got, linked to your device identifier.
• Your first name, if you enter it: used to greet you in the app and kept in our analytics tool so we know who our users are. It never appears in recipes you share.
• A random device identifier: generated on your device for daily limits, to recognize your subscription, and to connect your app usage together. We never ask for your email or phone number.
• How you use the app: which screens you open and what you tap, plus your approximate city and country derived from your IP address, so we can see what works and improve it.
• Crash reports: if the app breaks, we receive a report with your device model and OS version so we can fix it.
• Recipes you choose to share: when you tap Share, the recipe (title, ingredients, steps, photo) is stored so the share link works.
• Your feedback: if you send us a note from the app, we keep it with the email or phone number you type (optional) so we can reply.
• Subscription status: via Apple and RevenueCat, to unlock Tabkhty Plus.

What stays only on your device

Your favorites and reminder settings are stored on your device and never sent to us.

What we do not do

• No account or sign-in required.
• No ads in the app, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no sharing of your data with advertising companies.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we share with

We use trusted service providers solely to operate the app:

• OpenAI: to generate the recipe text from your ingredients.
• fal.ai: to create the dish photo.
• MongoDB Atlas: to store your preferences and pantry, recipes, shared recipes, feedback, usage limits, and subscription status.
• PostHog: product analytics (which screen was opened, whether a recipe suggestion succeeded, approximate city), linked to your device identifier and your first name if you entered it.
• Resend: to deliver your feedback to us by email.
• Sentry: crash and performance reports (device model, OS version) so we can fix problems quickly.
• RevenueCat and Apple: to manage subscriptions and payments.

Children

Tabkhty is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Retention & deletion

You can request deletion of data held on our servers by emailing hi@tabkhty.com. Data on your device is removed by deleting the app.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
